JFF to benefit from US$10 million investment
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is to benefit from a US$10 million investment in their domestic leagues over the next two years.
The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association made the announcement at the weekend.
Ten other Caribbean Football Union nations will also benefit from the investment.
The other nations are Barbados, Belize, El Salvador, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
The financial support from FIFA, football world’s governing body, will help to develop the infrastructure in the first division leagues of the countries.
Countries receiving the money will have to submit an annual action plan to FIFA, and account for their expenditure of the funds to the world body.
