St Andrew defeat Excelsior

St Andrew High defeated Excelsior 4-0 in the final preliminary game of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Jamaica Hockey Federation Under-16 girls’ competition yesterday.



The game was played at the Mona Hockey field.



As a result of the victory St Andrew High have moved to maximum nine points in Group ‘B’, five ahead of Excelsior.



In another girls’ match, Tivoli Gardens blanked St Andrew Technical 2-0.



In the boys’ competition Mona High and Kingston College battled to a 1-1 draw and Jamaica College defeated Campion College 3-0.



The competition continues this afternoon with three games. The first match will feature Tivoli Gardens against Excelsior in a Boys’ Zone ‘A’ match starting at 1.30 p.m.



Two girls’ cross-zone games then follow, Immaculate against Queens at 2.30 p.m. and St Hugh’s against Campion College at 3.30 p.m.
