How added to New Zealand squad

Opening batsman Jamie How was added to the New Zealand squad for the second test against visitors India, starting in Napier on Friday, as injury concerns lingered over Daniel Flynn.

Flynn badly bruised his hand when struck by Ishant Sharma while making 67 in the second innings of the first test at Hamilton, which India won by 10 wickets.

The left-hander was unable to train fully with the New Zealand team in Napier today and How, who was dropped from the New Zealand test squad after its December test series against the West Indies, was called in as cover.

Flynn faces a fitness test before his place in New Zealand\'s second test lineup is confirmed. If he is unable to play, How will join the team for his 19th test.
