Former national security minister in St Kitts and Nevis Dwyer Astaphan wants the authorities to quickly introduce close-circuit television CCTV.
Mr. Astaphan believes CCTV would help significantly in the fight against crime in the country.
He is suggesting that the device be installed in major hotspots in the country to boost the crime-fighting efforts of the police.
Non-governmental organisations, the business community and some churches say they will be embarking on anti-crime initiatives including a proposed march and rally.
