Cock Robin wins series

Jockey Richard Mitchell and trainer Lazel Khwalsingh yesterday extended their lead in the Caymanas Track Limited’s Claiming Series when they team up to win race three in the series with Cock Robin.
The six-year-old chestnut horse, offering odds of 7-to-2 won the 1100-metre claiming race by two-and-a-quarter lengths from the 9-to-5 favourite Diggy‘N Jiggy with Paul Francis aboard.
Winning Message finished third while Market Bridle was fourth. The highly fancied Avabelle with champion jockey Omar Walker ended up in fifth place.
Mitchell had two other winners to emerge as the leading rider on the seven-race card.
His other winners were The Chief in race six and Anastasia in the seventh and final event.
Title-chasing jockey Paul Francis scored in a double with Prodigal Son in the first and Lady Wales in the third.
