New Zealand continue to dominate
Hosts New Zealand have taken a firm grip on the second Test against India at McLean Park.
At the close of the second day, New Zealand have restricted India to 79 for three after they had posted 619 for nine before declaring.
Jesse Ryder highlighted the Black Caps superb first innings with 201 before being bowled by Zaheer Khan. He resumed the second day on 137 with New Zealand 351 for four.
Also getting among the runs for New Zealand today were Brendon McCallum, who scored 115, Daniel Vettori, who scored 55 and James Franklin with 52. Ross Taylor had scored 151 on the first day.
Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan were the most successful bowlers for India with three wickets each, while Harbajan Singh chipped in with two wickets.
India lead the three-match series 1-0.
