Portmore United beat St. Georges
Defending champions Portmore United defeated St Georges Sports Club 2-nil in a late game last night at Ferdie Neita Park to take sole leadership of the Digicel Premier League.
Portmore United, who entered the day leveled on 57 points with Harbour View, have now moved to 60 points.
They are two points ahead of Harbour View, who battled to a goal less draw with Arnett Gardens at Harbour View Mini Stadium.
Boys’ Town remain in third place with 50 points following a 2-1 victory over Meadhaven at Collie Smith Drive.
Two points behind Boys’ Town is Tivoli Gardens, who defeated Rivoli United 4-1 at Edward Seaga Stadium.
In other games, ninth place Sporting Central Academy hammered last place Village United 4-nil, while fifth place Waterhouse and second-from-the-bottom Reno drew nil-all at Waterhouse Mini Stadium.
