The Government Leader in The Cayman Islands, Kurt Tibbets, said the authorities are closely monitoring the new regulations that may emerge from the summit of G20 leaders in London this week.
Thursday\'s meeting is expected to discuss new rules for tax havens and offshore financial centres.
Mr. Tibbets says the Cayman Government will be unrelenting in maintaining the island’s status as a responsible and cooperative international financial services centre.
He says the territory had recently signed tax information sharing agreements with 15 European countries.
Already there is a long-standing agreement with the United States.
