Dominica\'s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has rejected opposition suggestions that he intends to call a snap election in May.

Opposition leader Ron Green of the United Workers Party told reporters at a news conference last week that his party had reliable information that a May 5 general election was being planned.

Speaking on radio today, Prime Minister Skerrit said he has not had any discussions with Green or anyone about the date of an election.
