Pietersen, Flintoff to undergo injury scans

England stars Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff are to undergo injury scans before the deciding one-day match against West Indies on Friday.



Pietersen suffered a back spasm during the nine-wicket win at the Kensington Oval yesterday, while all-rounder Flintoff injured his left thumb.



An ultra-sound scan on Flintoff’s thumb confirmed no fracture, but he will have further scans if it does not improve.





Walters scores first round knockout

Jamaican boxer Nicholas Walters defeated Gilberto Armuelles, of Panama, on a first round knockout in a non-title super featherweight bout at the Escolar Gymnasium on Saturday night.



With the victory, Walters improved his ring record to 10 victories with eight knockouts.
