Dwight Howard scored 22 points and grabbed 18 rebounds as Orlando Magic kept their grip on the Number 2 spot in the Eastern Conference by beating the Miami Heat 101-95 in the NBA last night.



Rashard Lewis scored 21 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1 point 3-2 remaining for Orlando, who stayed five games behind Cleveland and percentage points ahead of defending champion Boston in the East race.



At East Rutherford, New Jersey, Richard Jefferson had 29 points and 10 rebounds against his former teammates as the Milwaukee Bucks snapped a season-high, five-game losing streak to beat the New Jersey Nets 107-78.



And over at Salt Lake City, Utah Jazz defeated New York Kicks 112-104.
