Belize former PM hospitalised

Former Prime Minister of Belize Manuel Esquivel has been hospitalised in Belmopan following a road traffic crash.
Details of the crash were not available at news time, but reports indicate that Esquivel\'s vehicle ran off the road.
He was travelling from his home in Belize City to his office in Belmopan.
Esquivel, who retired after his United Democratic Party lost the 1998 general elections, now serves as a senior advisor in the Dean Barrow Government.
He served as Prime Minister from 1984 to 1989 and again from 1993 to 1998.
