G20 leaders meeting in London will today be discussing the need for more fiscal stimulus to defuse the global economic downturn.

According to BBC reports the leaders will also hold talks regarding the regulation of banks, tax havens and credit rating agencies.

The World Bank and the Commonwealth Secretariat, have also raised concerns about the need for the summit not to ignore the developing countries in their deliberations.

Since the economic downturn began millions more people have sunk below the poverty line.

Grenadian Prime Minister Tillman Thomas confirmed that the financial crisis had impacted his country\'s tourism sector, stalling projects and causing many job losses.

Ahead of the summit, World Bank President Robert Zoellick said he wanted more than just strong statements from the G20, when it comes to helping poorer nations.
