First record shattered at Champs

Janeize Russell accounted for the first record of the 2009 ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys\' and Girls\' Athletes Championship by winning the class three girls high jump final on today’s second day.



Russell clear 1.77 meters to put defending girls champion, Holmwood Technical atop the points stand after four final with 25 points.



Edwin Allen’s Kimberly Williamson equal the old mark of 1.74 meters to finish second while Shanice Porter of Manchester High was third clearing 1. 65 meters.



In the boy’s section, Wolmers are ahead on 15 point after one final followed by Kingston College on 12 points.
