West Indies have suffered an early setback in their quest to win the decisive fifth One-Day International against England at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium in St Lucia.
Chasing a victory target of 173 runs from 29 overs, the Caribbean side was five for one after two overs with captain Chris Gayle departing in the first over without scoring.
Earlier, England, sent in to bat, made 172 for five off their allotted 29 overs.
The match was reduced to 29 overs per side after heavy overnight and morning rain waterlogged the outfield and delayed the starts.
Kevin Pietersen top scored with 48 against the bowling of Sulieman Benn twof or 23 and Kieron Pollard two for 31.
