Regional competition continues today
Newly crowned back-to-back champions Jamaica, sent to bat by Guyana, were 280 for four at Sports Time on the opening day of their 13th round West Indies Cricket Board Regional Four-day match at Jarrett Park.
Jamaica regained the regional first-class title last week after moving to an unbeatable 94 points, 19 ahead of second place Windward Islands, who are idle in this round.
Over at the Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Leeward Islands, electing to bat against Trinidad and Tobago, reached 290 for nine at the close.
Kieran Powell has so far top scored with 57 against the bowling of Amit Jaggernaugh five for 72.
Over at the Three Ws Oval, Combined Campuses and Colleges, replying to Barbados’ first innings total of 235, reached 27 without loss when stumps were drawn.
