England captain left out of 20/20 squad
England captain Andrew Strauss has been left out of his country\'s squad for cricket\'s World 20/20.
The 32 year old Strauss was omitted from the provisional 30-man squad announced today, giving him no chance of making a final 15-man lineup for the June 5 to 21 tournament.
Strauss will continue as test and one-day captain, but the England and Wales Cricket Board will announce a leader for the 20/20 closer to the tournament.
Pakistan cricket selectors included three suspended players in their 30-man squad.
The players are allrounder Abdul Razzaq, batsman Imran Nazir and fast bowler Rana Naveed.
They were all suspended from international duty by the Pakistan Cricket Board because of their participation in the unauthorised Indian Cricket League.
The provisional 30-man squad will be slashed to 15 when the final squad is named next month.
England will host the second World 20/20 tournament in June.
