Defending champions Eltham High were 333 for nine at Sports Time on today’s first day of the Urban Area three-day ISSA/Grace Shield final against St Catherine neighbors Innswood High at Melbourne Oval.
Jervis Gordon has so far top scored for Eltham High with 68, while Romeo Parker supported with 58 and Kavin Bonner chipped in with 43.
Leg-spinner Andra Henry took three for 70.
Eltham High are searching for the double after defeating Innswood High in the final of the Jamaica International Insurance knockout last week.
The Oral Simpson-coached team is seeking a record fifth consecutive hold on the title.
