Defending champions Eltham High are in a strong position to win a record fifth consecutive ISSA/Grace Shield title.

Eltham High put themselves in a good position after taking first innings points from Innswood High on today’s second day of the three-day final at Melbourne Oval.

Innswood High, replying to Eltham High’s first innings total of 357, were bowled out for 177 after resuming this morning on 15 without loss.

Batting a second time, Eltham High were 130 for one at Sports Time, a lead of 310 runs.

Eltham High are searching for the double after defeating Innswood High in the final of the Jamaica International Insurance knockout last week.
