CCC finish on a high
Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) finished the West Indies Cricket Board regional four-day competition on a high by scoring an unlikely 63-run victory over Trinidad and Tobago on yesterday’s third day.
The match was played at the Three W’s Oval in Barbados.
CCC successfully defended a target of 174 when they dismissed T&T for 110 in their second innings about 45 minutes after tea in their 14th and final round match.
As a result of the victory, CCC ended the season with 60 points while T&T moved to 70 and failed to unseat Windward Islands from second place.
With Jamaica already crowned champions, the final positions will depend on the outcomes of the other two matches today.
At the Adelita Cancryn Ground in US Virgin Islands, Windward Islands, chasing 249 to win, will resume this morning final day on 110 for seven in their second innings against the Leeward Islands.
At the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana trailing Barbados by 62 runs on first innings, will continue on 167 for three in their second innings.
