Visa problems for Holmwood athletes

Four members of Holmwood Technical High Schools’ 4 by 800-metre boys’ relay team were denied United States non-immigrant visas yesterday to attend the annual Penn Relays.
The Penn Relays will take place from April 23 to 25 at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
The Holmwood Technical schoolboy team is one of the favourites for the Penn Relays Championship of Americas title.
Several other schools are expected to visit the United States Embassy this week to seek non-immigrant visas for their athletes to participate at the relay carnival.
