Over in Italy: David Beckham produced a vintage display as AC Milan moved up to second in Serie ‘A’ with a five-one victory over Torino at San Siro yesterday.

Beckham set up the first two goals of a Filippo Inzaghi hat-trick.

Inzaghi scored in the 13th, 37th and 60th minutes.

The win moved Milan level on points with Juventus, but still 10 points off Inter Milan who looked destined to win Serie ‘A.

In the battle for the fourth and final Champions League qualifying spot, AS Roma beat Lecce three-two with captain Francesco Totti scoring twice.

Fifth-placed Fiorentina hardly helped their cause with a three-one defeat to Udinese, missing the chance to move a place higher after Genoa lost one-nil at home to Lazio on Saturday.
