The government in Guyana is to table a Freedom of Information (FOI) Act within the next two months.
President Bharrat Jagdeo said a draft document been prepared and is being fined tuned.
President Jagdeo made the announcement at the recently held Fifth Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago.
He said the FOI was developed to make good on an election promise made two years ago by his People’s Progressive Party Civic.
