Australian surgeon to go to trial

An Australian surgeon has been ordered to stand trial on charges linked to the deaths of several of his patients.
Jayan Patel dubbed \"Doctor Death\" by some Australian newspapers is the former director of surgery for the Bundaberg Base Hospital.
He faces 14 charges, including three counts of manslaughter and two counts of grievous bodily harm to his patients.
Patel also faces numerous fraud charges for earnings as a medical practitioner from 2003 to 2005.
The 59 year old Indian-born doctor who has denied any wrongdoing will be tried in the Queensland Supreme Court, but no date has yet to be set.
