Jamaica beat Barbados

Champions Jamaica remain on course to retain their title when they hammered Barbados 54-19 last night in the Caribbean Netball Association Jean Pierre Youth Under-16 Championship.



The seven-time champions have now won four games from four matches to stay top of the standings with Trinidad and Tobago, who defeated St Lucia 40-26 in an earlier game.



In the other game last night, Dominica stopped Guyana 38-11.



Tanisha Rock-Yaw, 13 from 16, Shannon Hackett, six from 11, got the goals for Barbados, who slumped to their first defeat.



Jamaica will next face Guyana this evening at 6:45 in the penultimate round.



The remaining games are Dominica against the Cayman Islands at 6 p.m. and Trinidad and Tobago facing Barbados at 6:15.
