St Lucia calls emergency meeting to stem swine flu outbreak

St Lucia\'s National Security Minister has called an emergency meeting of various local agencies to finalise a national policy on swine flu.



Minister Guy Mayers says the outbreak represents a national security threat to the island, as it prepares for the annual jazz festival next week.



Today’s talks come amid a series of local and regional meetings to coordinate response plans to the outbreak of the virus that has claimed over 150 lives in Mexico.
