Jamaicans Dave Brown and Terrence Peart are among four Caribbean umpires appointed to officiate in the August 11 to 20 World Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands.
Brown is a recent International Umpire Award appointee. He achieved his status in November last year.
The other two Caribbean umpires are Trinidad and Tobago’s Joel Young Strong, also a recent International Umpire Award, and Barbadian Pamala Proverbs.
A total of 16 umpires have been appointed for the tournament with New Zealand, Australia, England and South Africa, each securing three appointments.
New Zealand are defending champions, having beaten England in the final of the last tournament in Florida in 2005.
