West Indies were struggling on 55 for four at Sports Time on the rain-hit opening day of the four-day match against England Lions at the County Ground in England.
The Caribbean side first lost Lendl Simmons for four to a catch at the wicket off medium-pacer Chris Woakes.
Woakes also got the wickets of Devon Smith for eight, captain Denesh Ramdin for four and Ramnaresh Sarwan for 31.
The batsmen at the crease are Shivnarine Chanderpaul on six and Brendan Nash on zero.
Bad weather allowed just 19 balls before lunch and ruled out play until after tea.
The match is the final tour match for West Indies before the first Test against England, which bowls off next Wednesday at Lord’s.
