Collingwood named one-day captain
Paul Collingwood was named England one-day captain for a second time today and will lead the side in next month’s 20/20 World Cup.
The 32 year old batsman quit the one-day captaincy role last August, citing concerns that it was affecting his form.
Andrew Flintoff was also picked in the 15-player squad despite undergoing surgery on his right knee earlier this week after returning from a stint playing in the Indian Premier League.
Kent captain Rob Key was also included after a five-year absence from the England setup while Essex wicket keeper James Foster returned ahead of Matt Prior for the first time since 2002.
Twenty-nine year-old Graham Napier and Eoin Morgan, who played for Ireland last month at the World Cup qualifying tournament, were called up for the first time.
The remaining members of the squad are James Anderson, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann and Luke Wright.
England opens the tournament at Lord\'s against the Netherlands on June 5.
The final is on June 21.
