The London-based Human Rights lobby group, Reprieve, is raising concern about a pregnant British woman who is now facing possible execution in Laos.
20-year-old Samantha Orobator is to go on trial this week for transporting a little over a pound of heroin.
Executive director of the lobby group, Clare Algar said Orobator is facing death by firing squad for drug trafficking.
She said the human rights group is worried about the pregnant woman’s health.
The group is also raising concern that the woman, who they say got pregnant while in prison, might have been exploited.
The group has sent its lawyer to monitor the case.
