West Indies can close in on sixth place in the World Test Rankings if they win all two Tests in their upcoming series against England.
The International Cricket Council, the sport’s World governing body, said a two-nil win for West Indies will see the Caribbean team moving within one point of sixth-placed England.
The reverse result would see England immediately move up one spot. They would earn three points giving them a total of 101, a single point ahead of Pakistan.
A one-nil series win would leave England on 100 points, but behind Pakistan by a fraction.
