Skipper Gayle not worried about his form
West Indies captain Chris Gayle said he is not worried about his form ahead of their two-Test series against hosts England, which bowls off tomorrow at Lord’s.
Gayle was speaking after a three-hour net session at Lord’s yesterday, a few hours after he arrived from South Africa, where he had been taking part in the Indian Premier League for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Gayle said he is in good form and is now focusing on Test cricket.
He further stated the team is well prepared and mentally ready to handle the situation in England.
Gayle led the West Indies to a one-nil victory over England in a five-Test series to win the Wisden Trophy recently in the Caribbean.
The second Test of the series will be played at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street from May 14 to 18.
