Belize teachers protest

Hundreds of educators are staging a protest in southern Belize against what they say is growing violence in school neighbourhoods.



The protest was triggered by an alleged assault on a teacher by a parent last month.



The executive secretary of thee Belize National Teachers Union, George Frazer, says the situation seems to be getting out of control.
