Jamaica remain Number one in CFU ranking
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have secured the Number One spot in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) rankings for the sixth consecutive month in the latest standings published today.
The top three remained the same with Trinidad and Tobago holding down second place and Cuba in third.
The Grenadians, runners-up to Jamaica in the Digicel Caribbean Championships in December, have moved back in the top five after falling to sixth place last month.
Grenada are in fourth place and Bermuda fifth.
Jamaica were steady at Number 70 on the FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings lists for May and remained ahead of Trinidad and Tobago, who climbed one place to Number 74.
Cuba are the next best Caribbean team in the world at Number 100, while Grenada climbed five places to a best-ever Number 103.
European champion Spain remained atop the FIFA world rankings for the 11th straight month.
Euro 2008 finalist Germany stay second, with the Netherlands in third, Brazil in fourth and world champion Italy fifth.
