Jamaica/Trinidad face off
Melbourne Cricket Club of Jamaica will start against defending champions PowerGen Sports of Trinidad when the US$100,000 West Indies Players’ Association 20/20 Club Champions League bowls off today.
Matches will take place at Guaracara Park in Trinidad.
Melbourne, which is being coached by West Indies fast bowling legend Courtney Walsh, includes West Indies left-arm spinner Nikita Miller and national batsman Donavon Pagon.
The PowerGen team includes, West Indies left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed, former Guyana and West Indies right-arm leg-spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo and West Indies fast bowler Ravi Rampaul.
In the opening match of the series, Felicity Invaders of Central Trinidad will come up against Maple of Barbados at 3.30 p.m.
The tournament will end on May 17.
