Collingwood says England will whip WI again
Inspired by their 10-wicket crushing of West Indies inside three days at Lord’s, Paul Collingwood says England are focused on pulling off a similar drubbing in the second and final Test of the series starting tomorrow.
The experienced all-rounder says the players were hurt by the recent 1-0 defeat in the Caribbean and are anxious to make amends.
Collingwood says the team has bounced back well from the defeat in Jamaica and will be looking to win more games.
West Indies beat England by an innings and 23 runs in Jamaica in the first Test of the series before drawing the remaining games to take the Wisden Trophy for the first time in 10 years.
England, however, bounced back last week to exact revenge with a 10 wicket victory in the opening Test of the return two match rubber.
Once they can avoid defeat in the second Test at the Riverside Ground, England will retake the Wisden Trophy and enter the highly touted Ashes against the Australians on a high.
