West Indies were under pressure on today’s opening day of the second and final Test against hosts England at the Riverside Ground.

England, needing only a draw to close out a series victory and regain the Wisden Trophy, were 291 for two at Sports Time.

Captain Chris Gayle and Lionel Baker have taken the wickets to fall.

Gayle had captain Andrew Strauss caught behind by Denesh Ramdin for 26, while Baker bowled Ravi Bopara for 108.

The batsmen at the crease are Alastair Cook on 120 and James Anderson on zero.

Both sides are unchanged from the previous Test, which England won, by 10 wickets inside three days at Lord’s to take a 1-0 lead in the two Test series.
