Pakistan court blocks ICC

A Pakistan court today blocked the International Cricket Council (ICC) from moving the 2011 World Cup headquarters to India until a hearing is held on June 2.

The ICC removed Pakistan as a World Cup co-host last month due to security fears, and nominated Mumbai as the tournament\'s new headquarters.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB, legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi says a court in Lahore issued a stay order after they filed a claim.

Earlier this month, the PCB sent a legal notice to the ICC claiming that its removal as a co-host was in contravention of the ICC Articles of Association and requesting it refers the issue to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Pakistan\'s 14 World Cup matches have been reallocated to the other three co-hosts, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
