Kolkata beat Chennai

Brad Hodge hit an unbeaten 71 and Brendon McCullum top-scored with 81 to lead the Kolkata Knight Riders to a thrilling victory over the Chennai Super Kings in an Indian Premier League match today at Centurion Park in South Africa.



Needing 189 runs for victory, Kolkata reached the target off the final delivery when Wriddihman Saha flicked the ball to the off side for the single that gave Kolkata only their second win of the series.



Kolkata won by seven wickets, with Saha unbeaten on 25 off 13 balls.



Earlier, Suresh Raina scored 52 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit 40 not out to lead Chennai to 188 for three off their allotted 20 overs.



Also getting among the runs for Chennai were George Bailey, 30, and Parthiv Patel, 25.



Following the victory, Kolkata remain last in the standings with five points while Chennai are second on 15, three behind leaders Delhi on 18.
