New York schools close over H1N1 virus

Five more New York City schools will be closed today because of an increase in the number of students with flu-like symptoms.



The schools will be closed for a week.



They bring to 17 the total number of New York schools to be closed in an effort to contain the spread of the HINI Influenza virus.



Already a teacher has died because of the virus.



Officials say 103 students have been documented with \"influenza-like\" illness.



According to City Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden the city has seen an increase in the number of persons with flu-like symptoms in many areas.
