The first one day international between England and West Indies at Headingley today has been abandoned due to a waterlogged outfield.
Play was scheduled to begin at 10.45 a.m. local time, but torrential rain forced the umpires to delay the start.
Although the rain cleared, the outfield was saturated and the umpires conducted three separate pitch inspections before deciding to abandon the game.
The second one day international in the three match series takes place in Bristol on Sunday, before the series concludes in Birmingham on Tuesday.
