Jamaican jockey Allen Maragh and Barbadian Chris Husbands have secured rides in this Saturday’s rich Carib Brewery Guineas horse race at Santa Rosa Park in Trinidad.

Florida-based Maragh will partner Jamaica-bred Enchanted Alex and gifted Barbadian Husbands will ride Achilles of Troy in the TT$315,000 Guineas over 1800 metres.

Enchanted Alex, bred by Law of the Sea out of Doctor Bird by Ham Stables, won the St Ann’s Stakes last December and was champion two year old filly for 2008.

There are seven Jamaica-bred entries in the 16 horse field.
