Beijing’s Olympics 100 metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser has pulled out of this weekend’s Reebok Grand Prix in New York City.
Bruce James, president of MVP Track Club confirmed Fraser’s withdrawal today.
Fraser shocked the world with her 10.78 seconds, a lifetime best that gave her the Olympic 100 metre crown.
Fraser suffered a big setback in training this year after an operation in early April. However, she had completed at three meets since.
She was scheduled to run the women’s 200 metres at the Reebok meet.
