H1 N1 confirmed in Dominica

The Dominican Republic has joined the list of 48 countries worldwide which have confirmed cases of the H1N1 Influenza virus.



The country has confirmed its first cases in two women who recently traveled to the United States.



The Dominican Republic joins Puerto Rico and Cuba as the only countries in the region to confirm H1N1 Influenza A cases.



The World Health Organization said more than 13 thousand persons have been infected with the virus, with 95 deaths.
