West Indies beat Scotland by 14

West Indies beat Scotland by 14 runs earlier today in their warm-up match for the International Cricket Council World Twenty/Twenty Championships.



The match was played at the John Paul Getty Ground in Wormsley, England.



The Caribbean side batted first and made 143 for six off their 20 overs with Dwayne Bravo top scoring with an undefeated 51.



Andre Fletcher chipped in with 42 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored 28. Glenn Rodgers was the most successful bowler for Scotland ending with two for 27.



Scotland were then restricted to 129 for nine off their 20 overs against the bowling of Darren Sammy three for 25.



Colin Smith top scored for Scotland with 40 runs.



West Indies will place in Group ‘C’ of the Twenty/Twenty World Cup alongside Australia and Sri Lanka. They will start against the Aussies on Saturday, June 6.
