West Indies captain Chris Gayle says his side can rebound from their recent dismal form and win the International Cricket Council’s World Twenty/Twenty Cup in England.
The Caribbean side starts against Australia on June 6 at the Oval and face Sri Lanka on Wednesday, June 10 at Trent Bridge in the group stage.
Gayle says once the players stick to the basic plans the team will do well in the tournament.
As part of their build-up, the Windies had easy wins in two unofficial warm-up matches against little-rated Scotland and Ireland at the John Paul Getty Ground in recent days.
West Indies will now switch their attention to official warm-up matches against Ireland tomorrow and England on Wednesday.
