JAMALCO win Super League title
JAMALCO last night rallied from five goals down in the last quarter to beat Waulgrovians ‘A’ 44-42 in the deciding game of the Jamaica Netball Association/Berger Paints Super League final at the Leila Robinson Courts.
The Clarendon-based team won the best-of-three finals 2-1 and in the process walked away with their seventh straight title.
JAMALCO won the first quarter 11-8, the second 22-19, trailed 34-32 after the third quarter before snatching victory in an exciting final game.
Retired national player Elaine Davis led JAMALCO with a game-high 32 goals from 40 attempts, while captain Marsha Murphy supported with 12 from 15.
For Waulgrovians ‘A’, Simone Forbes had 27 goals from 32 attempts, while her national teammate Christina Solmon scored 15 from 19.
