There is more information this morning on the 228 people who were aboard the Air France flight, which went missing over the Atlantic yesterday.

Airline officials said 80 of them were Brazilians, 73 French, 18 Germans, nine Italians, six U.S. citizens, and the others citizens of 17 other countries.

Five planes, two helicopters and three boats are involved in a search for the aircraft.

The plane was heading from Brazil to France when it went missing.

French authorities have sent a military plane from Dakar, Senegal to help in the search.

But Brazilian officials have cautioned that the search area could be three times the size of Europe.
