The Trinidad-based Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) is reporting that there are now four confirmed cases of swine flu in the region.
CAREC said the virus has been confirmed in three English-speaking Caribbean countries, two in Jamaica, one in the Bahamas and one in Bermuda.
It said all four individuals are reported to have traveLled to the US recently.
CAREC is advising countries to continue enhanced surveillance for fever and respiratory illness considering the increased level of travel between the US and the Caribbean.
