August Town of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) and Humble Lions of Clarendon were last night denied early qualifications to next season’s Digicel Premier League.

Both teams entered yesterday’s Premier League playoffs needing victories to cement the two places up for grabs, but failed.

Humble Lions had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Brazil of St Ann at the York Town Community Centre; while August Town were beaten 2-1 by Wadadah at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.

Following the victory, Wadadah have now moved from the bottom of the four team playoff table to third place with four points.

Humble Lions now lead with eight points, one ahead of August Town on seven, while Brazil are last on two points.
